This is the view out of the train window around 9am on the way to Lhasa. It was a long but productive and enjoyable journey with great people – Zee, Jan and Panthea.

We packed a cafetière, a few bags of coffee and some Starbucks mugs. Using the unlimited hot water on board we drank many many rounds of coffee. Each time we did a round it filled the carriage with a delightful aroma of fresh coffee raising a few looks from fellow westerners looking for a fix.

Two weeks, a ton of interviews, 40 gig’s of photos, 50 gig’s of video, 100+ hours of travel, and now it’s time to go home for a debrief with people in Helsinki, a few meetings and then its back to the field for another round. Tired but happy.
